Champagne Tribaut

Born into a family of winemakers from the 1890s, all began with my great grandfather, Léon Tribaut already winemaker on the villages of Romery, Cormoyeux in Marne Valley near capital Epernay Champagne.
This vineyard was then taken over by my grandfather Roger Tribaut in the 1930s in parallel with his position as head of vineyard for the Lanson House or it combined its 2 activities for more than 30 years.
My father Michel Tribaut succeed him in the 1980s to then extend and develop the farm.
In 2015, Romain decided to bring to light his grandfather's method of winemaking as well as the Meunier grape variety.
For this project only, we invested in a new thermoregulated stainless steel winery and then buy barrels from Bourgogne Montrachet where Chardonnay Burgundies have been vinified over 1 and 2 years.
Our aim was to vinify 70% in barrels and 30% in stainless steel vats, and also only barrels:
We make 3 cuvées "opposites":
- Pure Meunier (Black Grape)
- Pure Chardonnay (white grape)
- Pure Meunier Zéro Dosage 100% barrels
